Our Principles:

Kath Forsyth

Owner and founder of Kath Forsyth Architects, Kath draws from over 25 years of diverse architectural experience. Her practice is nestled in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne servicing all areas. She is a registered Architect in Victoria and an ArchiTeam Member.

Her journey has spanned various sectors and a wide array of project types and sizes. She has worked in some of Australia’s most recognised architectural firms where she’s gained extensive experience and a wealth of knowledge. She now brings this combined experience into her practice.

Kath enjoys the combination of creativity and practical problem-solving which architecture offers.  She is driven by the challenges and opportunities presented by each new project with regards to site, brief and collaboration.

Kath's portfolio boasts a wide spectrum, encompassing residential designs for both single dwellings and multi-residential developments, ranging from social housing to high-end luxury residences.

    Kath has extensive experience in all phases of architecture, from client brief development and project inception, design phases and town planning, through to technical documentation and delivery on site.

    She has designed and delivered:

    • maternal and child health centres

    • educational facilities including early learning centres, primary and secondary schools, and tertiary institution workspaces

    • community and various local public projects

    This diverse background has provided insights into:

    • how people learn and work

    • sustainability practices and concepts and implementation of these through passive solar design principles

    • the importance of flexibility and adaptability in our homes and built environments

    • our relationship and connection to our external environment.
